J&S Safeguard Question

Thanks for the New Ultra, sounds like a great product, I'll be purchasing one end of next month to replace my current Safeguard and MSD BTM combo.

I'm extremly excited to see the electronic way of fooling the ecu/map sensor, because my current physical version isn't very good and always let's a little pressure past into the map sensor and I get some ecu timing retard. My question is, does it interceed at the ecu where you feed the electronic map presure through it from the sensor and then send in the converted map pressure which is less then 0? What will it send in? Can it be adjusted?

My other question is in regards to the adjusted timing. I understand that this only modifies the timing, but do you think it would be very necessary to have something like an MSD 6A or is that mostly just extra stuff?
